World Senior Citizen's Day Celebrations
Aging is not ˜Lost Youth', but a new stage of opportunity and strength. -Betty Friedan
Aging is an inevitable part of life. As we grow old, we continue to change with age. One should not regret growing older as it's a privilege, denied to many. It would not be an exaggeration to compare old people with libraries. They hold the valuable experiences and cherished memories for the next generation to pass on. After a lifetime of working, raising families and contributing to the society in their own respective ways, senior citizens deserve to retire with dignity. To honour, acknowledge and learn from the people who have walked the path before us, World Senior Citizen Day was celebrated at Prudence School, Dwarka 16B with immense enthusiasm. The grandparents were given red carpet welcome. The music of yonder years swelled the hearts of guests, with happiness. Further saplings were planted by the grandparents as a token of love, hope and respect. A covival interaction between the guests and students enriched the latter with innumerable advices. The Grandparents were delighted to get themselves photographed at the selfie booth and wrote heartwarming messages on the message board.
