Trip to Chail , Shimla & Kufri
Aiming to develop an understanding of diverse cultures prevailing in our country and to inculcate fitness in the learners, the school organized a trip to
Chail-Shimla-Kufri for the students of Grade 9-10. The augmenting experience of adventurous activities such as Zipline, Rock climbing, and rappelling, along with trekking amidst the green outfields and stunning view of mountains helped students reflect and connect themselves with nature.
The visit to the Shiva temple on hilltop built by a single man using local stones, mesmerized the students and filled them with the spirit of spirituality, and encouraged them to value patience and persistence.
The visit left students enthralled as they visited, the Chail Palace and the second oldest church in North India, a gift from another
era standing tall as the epitome of faith, hope, charity, and fortitude.
Besides offering prayers at the church, students paid tribute at Gandhi Samarak.
The shopping spree thereafter engaged students to buy things for their loved ones. Witnessing students spending wisely was an experience to be cherished.
The trip encouraged self-dependence, survival techniques and the idea to learn as much as one can while one is young since life becomes too busy later. Parents’ feedback is a
testimony of a well-organized and well-executed excursion.
